A mobile app for borrowing things from your neighbours. Why buy it when you can borrow it?
Solution
We built our own mobile app where users list items with photos and a daily price, search nearby by name, category and distance, and send owners requests for specific dates. The owner confirms, both sides are notified of every change, and after the return they rate each other. Contact details stay hidden until a loan is agreed. The mobile app is built with Vue.js and Capacitor. The backend runs on PHP and Laravel with a PostgreSQL database and Redis, and the whole solution is deployed in containers.
Result
Půjčovadlo is available for free on Google Play for Android, with an iPhone version in the works. Users pay no fees for listing or borrowing – saving money, space at home and the planet.
